Potraits series experiments and development

I did some experiments with Flora, Ieva and Leah to get a clearer idea of what I want to do with my potraits series. As seen above I thought about recreating old photos but I thought think that´s too obvoius. That´s why I like the idea of recreating memories or fantasies instead. I´ve been thinking about what things I´d like to recreate and I now have two ideas about this. One is to heavily photoshop pictures like I did with my first photography experiments. This way I could create my crazier imaginary scenarios, like flying, monsters and castles etc. Another way I could go with this idea is to recreate old games we used to love, like my dads troll game, my mums körö körö kirkkoon (a finnish rhyme) and our shared bath times.

Körö körö kirkkoon used to be a sort of rhyme thing my mother did with us all the time. Its about riding a horse to go to Church but then we fall in a whole in the road. My mother would move her legs like we were riding a horse and then in the end she would let us all fall to the floor as seen on the picture above. I think it would be really funny to try to get all three of us on my mothers lap again, to compare how things were and how thing are now. I have other situations like this that I would love to put us in. 

I also tried to take the type of cheesy/cute pictures that are often taken with children.



 

Thinking about spesifically the ninja games me and my brothers used to play I asked Flora, Ieva and Leah to try to mimic that:

I dont think I´ll be doing the spaces idea anymore, but I think I might try a quick test series of my family. These would be individual potraits of my family members (just a basic potrait) and then mine would be of my back (me living apart).

I found another picture of the Körö körö kirkkoon. I couldn´t find any of the troll thing or us playing the ninja game.

I found this gem of us taking a bath. My cousins are there but for some reason Ben is missing. I couldn´t find any pictures with just me Sami and Ben.
