Documentary planning

The first draft of the storyboard, to help visualise our film. (20th November)

Research and planning

We went out and took some test shots and maybe some "texture" shots. I think this definetly helped us get a better idea of what we want. We also talked to some people as research.

(Alya and Flora talked to some runners before):
They said that they, preferred to run in the morning when there is light, but they have work. Many probably run in the evening. They like to run 2-3 times a week.

We got permission from Gail´s to film them opening in the morning.

We talked to some dog walkers in the park. They had lights on their dogs which we thought was really interesting. It was around five o´clock. They said they normally turn the lights on at around 6 or 7 o´clock, so if we wanted to interview more dog walkers we should go to the park a bit later. There would be more dog walkers then too. They also have work so thats when most people go out.

We talked to Emma at Emma´s Sandwich shop and she agreed to be interviewed. She says she normally get´s there at seven, so before the sun has risen. She then sets up and officially opens at 8, altough some people buy before then. Emma says her busiest time is around 8-8.30, so maybe we could film her then.

We also talked to the kebab men and the also agreed to an interview. They normally arrive around 16.45 and open at five. We talked to them about our documentary and they seemed really happy to be  apart of it.

The taxi driver was one of the last people we talked to. Alya had to knock on a couple of windows and talk to a couple of people before we found one who was open to it. He gave us his number so Alya will text him when we are ready to interview him.

I think we now have much clearer plans of what we want to do. We know also have our first videos already. (We took videos before we got our canon XF305, I think on the 21st).

We had another meeting with Anne for the risk Assessment (on the 20th) with Alya. We went through some things we had to rewrite.  We continued doing it the next day, so now we finally got the risk assessment done.
