Collage- giving photos a new meaning

Our task was to put images together for preperation for our potraits series. The question was; how do images take on a different meaning next to another image. I was looking through magazines and I noticed that all the women had the same skinny body type (as expected from fashion magazines). In one of them there was also an article about someone who suffered with anorexia and I thought it was sort of ironic to have that inbetween all the fashion and healthy lifestyle adverts, so I thought I´d put those two together. The images of the women are the typical model and the text in the middle of them (where the stomach is) is taken from that article. I was questioning what this sort of advertising and media does to our mental health.
