These are my final pictures I chose. I´m not really happy with these photos, but I´ve learnt a lot from this.
I decided to make them black and white because the colours didn´look good together, there was too many, which is something I porbably should´ve thought about before.
I knew I was going to be spending the study week at home in Brussels, and I knew I would have to get work done then. I thought taking pictures of my family would be a good idea but it was actually really stressful. Everyone had things to do and my family is a little impatient, so I ended up basically just having one shot for each picture. Of course I couldn´t have retaken every single photo anyway, as I was on a time limit. I knew I was going back home in a week so I had to be really fast. During that week I also got my experimental audio project done, so I was busy. Next time I definetly want to focus on the lighting and setting more. I don´t like the backgrounds of these images although for this series it was essential. I wanted to show the home setting. I never moved house before I came to uni, so I grew up in that house, and most of the rooms have stayed the same. Especially the lounge. It´s funny to look at old photos of us as children and compare it to pictures of us now, in the exact same place, with the same carpets and furnitures. So yes the home background was important, to show the familiarity and how some things stay the same whilst some change. However, in future projects I want my settings to look a lot nicer. I haven´t focused on lighting, background, colour etc on any of my photography projects yet so that is definetly something I want to do. I didn´t think much about it now either and I feel somehow stupid about it, but next time I will.
To take the actual pictures I connected my phone to my camera, so I could view the image in real time whilst being in the frame. I then put a timer on and quickly hid my phone away.

You can see my phone in these three pictures

All the rooms (except for the bathroom) were all pretty dark so I had to set my ISO quite high. I think I could´ve tried to get the lighting better if I had studio lights or time to wait for better weather. I do think I did the best I could with what I have and one hand I don´t think my photos are that bad, I just find them somehow boring.
